The Winacct Installation Utility tests that all objects required by Cashbook for Windows are correctly registered.

Please Note: The Winacct Installation Utility can only be run on existing Cashbook for Windows installations.

Create Login Object

Creates the following objects:

Winacct_svr.exe - used by Cashbook for file handling. Resides in \winacct\bin and must be correctly registered. If this fails go to Register Objects and register Winacct Server.

WAFunctions.dll - used by Cashbook for general functions. Resides in \winacct\bin and must be correctly registered. If this fails go to Register Objects and register PereSoft DLL's.

MDAC - used by Cashbook for CBW file access and must be correctly registered. If this fails run setup.exe from the MSADO directory on the Cashbook for Windows install cd.

WALogin.exe - used to access Cashbook. Resides in \winacct\bin and must be correctly registered. If this fails go to Register Objects and register WALogin.

Version Test

Displays the Name, Size, Version, Date and Path of all the files used by Cashbook for Windows. 

Show All - Displays all the files used by Cashbook for Windows.

Show Invalid Only - Displays all the files found to be the incorrect version.

Show Missing Only - Displays all the files required by Cashbook for Windows that can not be found.

Winacct Toggle Box - Displays all the files required by Cashbook for Windows only, excluding the Crystal files.

Crystal Toggle Box - Displays only the the files required by Crystal. 

Connect Test

Creates the objects required by Cashbook on demand.

ACCPAC Session - Creates the ACCPAC Xapi COM interface. Must be 32bit and is installed by ACCPAC International. If this fails re-install the ACCPAC System Manager.

WAFunctions - used by Cashbook for general functions. Resides in \winacct\bin and must be correctly registered. If this fails go to Register Objects and register PereSoft DLL's.

Create Database Link - Creates Recordset to access the Cashbook files. This relies on MDAC being correctly registered. If this fails run setup.exe from the MSADO directory on the Cashbook for Windows install cd.

Test DCOM Compatibility - Typedefs are used to move memory around your computer RAM. If this object method is not supported then the incorrect version of DCOM has been installed. You can download the latest version of DCOM from Microsoft's website: Download DCOM

Register Object

Winacct Server - Re-registers the Winacct_Svr.exe

WALogin - Re-registers WALogin.exe

PereSoft DLL's - Re-registers WAFinder and WAFunctions

PereSoft Components - Re-registers psComponents

Spread Control - Re-registers fpspr32.ocx

Edit Control - Re-registers edt32x30.ocx

Toolbar Control - Re-registers actbar2.ocx
